Way too tired to upload my photos...

What took me a few days took them mere hours. But not without some snafu's along the way.  Every time I turned around, something I needed got packed.

Daniel's mac and cheese, (his dinner) as soon as I remembered and checked the pantry, it was gone. the guy says Oh, you were toooooo late...  We had cereal for dinner.

The soap and shampoo in the shower. gone. I had to sprint around the house and finally found some guest hotel shampoo in the basement bathroom and snuck that back in my bathroom.

They were so fast I lost my slippers mid day when I must have taken them off to run outside for a second. I had to wear shoes IN my house... EGHAD!

I was walking around sticking things in my purse--greg's ipod, the old camera that i'm using cuz the new one broke, cash, important papers, everything for fear I would never see it again. and then i was terrified of putting it down because they would pack it!  I walked around with my 100 lb purse all day in my own house. haha!

for dinner, we had to share a fork, I had to wash with spongebob foaming hand soap, use paper towels for plates and they even packed the lamps from the boys room and their clocks so that the boys were sleeping in the dark and Daniel said "how will I know it is 7a so that I can get out of bed?"

I must say, Daniel is handling this move the best. Seth is handling this move more like a game... lets take all the stuff from this box clearly labled APT and put it in this one clearly labled JUNK/TRASH... Greg is pretty good, very level headed and very helpful, and me, well I'm just having an outerbody experience where i feel like I am watching it all happen from afar, to someone else.

One funny thing did happen this morning when I was talking to one of the guys, I saw 3 packs of my orange gum so I said to the guy, here, i'll share my gum, if you want it, go ahead.  He says, I've got my own gum, and whips out his gum. now, I don't know if you know this but I have a gum problem--i like it a lot and i basically chain chew.  He, apparently was my long lost chain chew gum pal because he said "you MUST try mine" (with the look of gum worship that only a fellow worshipper would recognize.)  I was hesitant but i coudln't say no to an unwrapped piece of gum being placed inches from my face, from a guy who was about to start packing my most coveted Italian pottery...It was pretty good but not as good as mine. so i reciprocated by putting on my best bosslady voice and commanded that he try mine too.  i think we both secretly walked away from that encounter amused and yet still sticking to our own gum.

I have some cute pix of the boys in boxes but the chords are packed. oh yeah, so is basically everything else in this house except the kids, the pjs they're wearing and the beds they are sleeping on.  Greg was sad to come home to find that practically everything he reached for? was packed... we'll get it all back tomorrow...as I dread the upacking that inevitably follows the packing... :)

No more shed, new fence in front

We have a new fence in front per county code.

Gave bushes and plants away to neighbor and contractor and now a clear path to the back is apparent.

There used to be a shed but now there's only the fence.
There used to be a concrete slab here that got jack hammered out and loaded into the dumpster one bucket at a time.

Good morning Jack Hammer!

Good morning Jack Hammer!!  5/25--7:30am
This is the view from our kitchen table.  As we were having our cereal this morning, the jack hammering started!  Daniel is the toughest slave master of them all.  As soon as the jack hammering would stop for a moment he'd say "why are they stopping????"

At the front of the house, we welcome the Bobcat.
This machine will be moving all the landscaping so that the wood and materials can be brought to the back.

Renovations--let the project begin.

Monday, May 9th, we signed the contract with our contractor...

May 11--First to come off was the deck.
Daniel and Seth couldn't believe "the mans came and took the deck off and put it in a truck..."

May 23rd--after moving the cable hook up to the living room, the Sunroom came off.  Daniel really wanted to "help"...

This is the how we used to go in and out of the sunroom.

May 24th--the Japanese Maple was pulled out and replanted in the back yard.

May 24th--The Port-a-potty arrived.
