We've been back in the house almost 2 months and the progress has been slow but steady

Looks like the move has kept me from posting pictures for a while.
I am going backwards and trying to recreate events:

Before move in, we were laying out the back splash for the kitchen sink

back splash for behind oven--with wrong size tile being delivered and wrong size tile being returned, there were at least 6 deliveries to get this right.

An excellent shot of the two collumns that stayed with us for a long long time.  The hanging wires had to be moved, re soldered and manipulated many times... also, seeing the state of the floors, we had to refinish them before move in, as in two days before

This is the flooring on the balcony off of my bedrom

This was supposed to be the counter top granite

Which I had to swap out for this one bc the tilers put down the wrong tile in the mud room... ended up coming out fine

A photo of the master bathroom tile work

The completed back splash by sink (days before move in)

completed back splash at stove--days before move in

MOVE IN!! 2/19/2012 YEAEY!!!!  Here's a great photo of Greg dealing with the insane amount of paper during un packing

Off to find a kitchen table (boys playing hide and seek under a clear table at CB2--I hope they know I can see them...)

My fancy new bedding--the 2nd try--notice my light is not up on the left side of the bed. This took a bit of work to get installed.

AND BAM! before I had any company, the plumber sends water gushing through the ceiling on my brand new sette

I don't even know if anyone had sat on it yet...

The agony of getting that marble threshold in place--and still today, in April, the carpet is not installed there... sigh.

Brand Spanking New Lights in the kitchen over the island. Greg comes home, turns them on and WHAM 2 lights go out.

Ceiling light at front entry

Carpet time! This is for the master--still not here yet, to be delivered end of mid April

Custom cut rug with border for living rom, won't deliver til early May. REALLY???!!

Surprised Seth when he came home from school with 3D superhero poster and...

ninja turtles poster--he selected teh all black bedding

Another cluster...this light fixture just came down suddenly

and shattered in the mud room, then after a month, the lighting store people came over with new parts, cracking the class DURING install... as of today, still not resolved.

some of the many punch list photos

THE VERY MUCH anticipated simple, clean, elegant mantel...but wait, the fire place insert does not fit correctly... this was actually resoved TODAY!! 4/12/12 after 3 attempts with 3 different size fronts.

Another hiccup.  apparenlty, where there are no switches, there was live current going through this box. one electrician at the house for other reasons told me that if someone put their finger in there, it is lethal. SERIOUSLY??? Rich sent someone to fix asap as Daniel had been playing hide and seek in that closet. WTF!!!!!

When I asked Seth what color he wanted for his room, he said black. he got black bedding. when I asked Daniel, he asked for rainbows.  I thought rainbows may be a little big girlish/babyish so here is my take on a
"rainbow room" for Daniel

At the time of delivery (weeks after move in) the shutter color had not been determined. Here is me with options trying to sort it all out

Why did we need to find a new kitchen table? well apparenlty this one (ikea table from just post college) did not meet the standards

So I painted it and decided to use it for my attic sewing machine table

Random questions come to mind like why are some registers in the floor wood,

And some metal? and isn't this something that the contractor should have noticed? again, 4/16 and we still can't get this resolved.

My front door with the tenugui framed from atchan

AC malfunction--the motor blew...and when the tech came to fix it (the second time) he came without the part. then he had to go get a new part. another cluster...

Most recent addition to my dining room!

And we now have light above the kitchen table!!!!

Table in the attic for my sewing machine

The blinds came for the living room--oooooh ahhhhhh

The very heavy glass table top to the new table in kitchen! i picked it up yesterday from Crate and Barrel. here the boys are writing on the box, "DADDY PLEASE BRING THIS BOX INSIDE"
