We pack, we upack

Tuesday the packers came and Wednesday we moved. Half of our stuff to storage and half to the surprisingly spacious 2BR apartment.

The packers packed it all, and the rest went to charity...
Sethy's room, a pile of boxes..."mommy, I really don't like these things, these boxes everywhere..."
My piano is buried under a pile of boxes and packing paper.
The pile is roughly 5 feet high and 24 feet wide and the boys run at it and jump into the packing paper.
It is a game I like to call "seconds away from the ER"

I think that moving on a day that was 100 degrees (literally) was quite hot and exhausting.  However, it was a smart move to do it on a day when the boys could stay late at school... One of the movers carried three rugs rolled up and on his back at one time while I dragged the smallest of the rugs watching him in awe. Oh yes, i pitched in. because we started at 9:30am. at 1:30pm we were ready to move stuff into the apt. of course my new apartment happens to be the FARTHEST from the elevator...grrr and then we started the storage part of the day at about 4. so by storage time, yes, i was picking up rugs, boxes whatever and helping as well as procuring water and powerade for all the workers -- being 100 degrees outside... Oh and the storage units were also the farthest from the elevator. I must say, moving for me, was hard work. And to think that these guys move people every day. That thought (and the 100 degree heat) made me light headed numerous times throughout the day. I feel like I need some time to heal before the next move...
